Proud to be part of NAPIT

Walter Lilly is a registered member of the National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers (NAPIT) – one of the leading Government-approved and UKAS accredited membership scheme operators in the building services and fabric sector.

NAPIT ensures member companies – and individual installers within those companies – meet set standards on safety, competence, quality, and customer care, when carrying out building services for consumers.

Building services within NAPIT’s remit include electrical, microgeneration, heating, plumbing, building fabric, ventilation, and air conditioning.

With our in-house site services and temporary electrics, becoming a registered member of NAPIT is another added value to our service offering.

As a premier provider of construction and maintenance services across London and the Southeast, we’re honoured to be a member of an organisation improving industry standards and promoting safe, quality work across various trades.

We’re also proud of our team members who have become part of the NAPIT Competent Person Scheme (CPS) and Electrotechnical Assessment Specification Scheme (EAS) after completing relevant training validating their skills and knowledge to carry out specific building services tasks (such as Portable Appliance Tests and Fixed Appliance Tests).

Rhys Baldwin – Site Services Manager at Walter Lilly – for example, has recently been granted an EAL Level 3 Award in Electrical Installation Inspection, Testing, Certification and Reporting. This not only makes him qualified to undertake Walter Lilly’s testing of electrical installations on construction sites and within the properties we manage (as part of our Residence and Facilities Management service), but it also demonstrates Rhys and Walter Lilly are:

  • Able to complete work safely and to legally required standards
  • Capable of working to the latest health and safety regulations
  • Trusted to self-certify our work in compliance with Building Regulations
  •  Regularly assessed to assure ongoing competence
  •  Able to provide customers with the necessary certificates to demonstrate regulatory compliance.

Peace of mind with NAPIT and Walter Lilly

Choosing a new supplier to manage building services can be nerve-racking. NAPIT provides peace of mind to consumers that projects will be carried out by competent, registered people working for businesses committed to quality, safety, and customer care.

NAPIT states: “There are currently more than 10,000 NAPIT registered installers in the electrical, heating, plumbing, ventilation and air-conditioning, microgeneration and building fabric trades across the UK domestic, commercial and industrial markets.”
