Glebe Place, Chelsea

Chelsea, London

Walter Lilly refurbished this beautiful four-storey and lower ground floor terraced property in Glebe Place, Chelsea. The property contains four luxurious bedrooms with three en-suites, one separate bathroom, a powder room, a media room, a library and dressing rooms.

A significant component of the project was to alter the ground and lower ground floors to make way for a new two-storey conservatory. The rear closet wing was also partially demolished to make way for the installation of a structural steel box frame, which provides an elegant open plan family and breakfast room.

The remainder of the property was refurbished and finished to the highest of standards, with oak flooring, re-plastered walls, new ceilings and fibrous cornices. Mezzanine levels on the ground, first and second floor, as well as all the bedrooms were also fitted out with exquisite bespoke joinery.

Substantial landscaping works were carried out to the rear of the property, including lowering the rear garden and building reinforced concrete areas as attractive raised planning beds. The boundary wall facing the property was disguised by the installation of a living wall. There is also a new reinforced concrete staircase, clad in Yorkshire pacing, which runs from the family room to the wonderful new garden.
