Chiswick House is a 16th century Neo-Palladian villa in West London, managed by English Heritage.

Walter Lilly worked on the Chiswick House and Gardens Trust’s ambitious garden restoration project, which included the 1,300 m² Conservatory which is a Grade I listed building.

The Conservatory, which houses many rare and old species of camellia, was totally dismantled prior to being sympathetically rebuilt with a new Canadian Douglas fir timber frame and Pilkington K Glass. It was rebuilt in the same style as the original 1930s design.

The back sheds were also extended and refurbished to form education and exhibition spaces, a small kitchen and food preparation area, offices with improved facilities for events and public use, as well as staff accommodation areas and toilets.
