Congratulations To Hannah Tyers For Being Highly Commended At This Year’s Construction News Awards!

The Construction News Awards is a well-recognised badge of excellence within the built environment, recognising and rewarding the people, pride and passion of the sector and celebrating the industry’s best talent.

Earlier this year, our very own Hannah Tyers (Assistant Surveyor) was nominated for the Rising Star Category due to her impressive career achievements and ambition to help others.

Hannah Tyers is a highly capable and effective individual who positively influences others through her proactive and enthusiastic approach. Since joining Walter Lilly, Hannah has been an exceptional employee, our rising star, from day one. She has consistently performed above the requirements of her job role and finds time to support many company and personal social value enhancing initiatives such as campaigning to raise addiction awareness.” – Daniel Reygate, Commercial Manager at Walter Lilly.

On the night of the awards, Hannah received a ‘High Commendation’ in the Rising Star Category! The esteemed judges agreed that her exceptional work to address alcoholism in the industry, a subject that is very close to her heart, ‘deserves recognition on a wider industry scale’.

I am extremely grateful to Walter Lilly for nominating me for this award but, most importantly, for being so supportive. Throughout my university degree, and my personal journey around raising addiction awareness after I lost my mum in 2021, Walter Lilly have been there to guide me. They have encouraged my aspirations and helped me make a difference in the industry. We are reducing the stigma surrounding the word ‘alcoholic’ and assisted more people to get help and find comfort in knowing that they are not alone.” – Hannah Tyers

Hannah, your determination and drive to make a change does not go unnoticed! Walter Lilly commends you on this great achievement and are delighted that your many accomplishments have received widespread recognition.

Another congratulations to Alex Clark (Project Director) for also being nominated in the ‘Construction Leader of the Year’ category! The CN Awards recognised Alex’s leadership ability and his commitment to delivering a positive impact within the construction industry. Well done, Alex, this nomination is a true testament to your hard work and efforts!
