Another successful year for HQR London
Having established the HQR London brand in 2016 and initiated the HQR Summer Ball to enormous accolade the same year, the 2018 Ball attended by Walter Lilly on the 30th June once again proved to be yet another huge success.
The response from the High Quality Residential sector we operate in was incredible, with over 65 tables sold and over 650 attendees at the event. The Grosvenor House Hotel again proved to be an ideal venue and guests from construction, architecture, engineering, quantity surveying, interior design, services and many specialist trade subcontractors helped to make it an amazing evening.
A sparkling wine reception kicked the evening off, before guests were called to dinner and heard from each of the three charities who had been nominated to be the beneficiaries of this year’s event.
A sumptuous three course meal followed, before the irrepressible auctioneer Jonny Gould took to the stage and led everyone through a highly entertaining raffle and auction. The pre-event fundraising of £32,000 was quickly and magically raised to an incredible £103,000. All of the money raised was donated this year’s beneficiaries; CHAOS, the Lighthouse Club and the Lullaby Trust.
After dinner, a new band LFX entertained a very full dance floor and a DJ then took the crowd through to carriages at 1.00am.

We remain hugely proud that we created this event and are honoured that we continue to organise it and get to witness such generosity from the sector in which we have established our reputation.
HQR London is now formally registered as a charitable trust. Its purpose is to actively raise money for other established charities.
