Friday, 1st November saw Walter Lilly’s final breakfast club of 2019

Hosted by Chris Butler and John Joyce at the Darwin Brassiere within London’s Sky Garden venue, they were joined by representatives from Calder Peel Partnership, Cole Management, Clivedale London, Michael Barclay Partnership and Edward Pearce LLP.

Our formal monthly breakfast clubs were introduced back in 2015 and are usually hosted by members of the Walter Lilly board and on occasions the wider senior management team. They offer the opportunity for our senior management to build on existing relationships as well as facilitate business introductions between our attendees.

Our guests are usually treated to some spectacular views of London, when the weather behaves, and our breakfasts this year have focussed mainly on dining between Aqua located on the 31st floor of The Shard and The Darwin Brasserie which can be found on Level 36 within the SkyGarden.

Breakfast meetings have soared in popularity in the business world in recent years becoming increasingly popular among those who have to meet the rigorous demands of busy schedules and tight deadlines.

The moment you get to your place of work, it’s easy to get bogged down with phone calls and emails, so breaking to go to a meeting in the middle of the day can be troublesome. A recent poll of 3,000 workers revealed that 34% felt far better focused at breakfast time whilst 32% agreed that it was a nice start to the day.

We are pleased to have welcomed over fifty different guests to our intimate breakfast meetings during the course of 2019 and look forward to welcoming many more when it resumes again in 2020.
