Walter Lilly receives a perfect score for Considerate Constructor’s Scheme

Congratulations to our Phillimore Gardens project team who recently received the perfect score of 45 out of 45 from the Considerate Constructors Scheme!

The team’s hard work has been shown clearly through the CCS report and we are incredibly proud of all those involved. It’s exceptional recognition from an organisation set up to raise the standards within the construction industry.

CCS monitored the following when visiting our site:

  • Respect for the community
  • Care for the environment
  • Valuing our workforce.

For all three categories the team received excellent scores of 15 out of 15 and were particularly praised for their outstanding engagement with the community, their environmental procedures and the well facilitated site.

Chris Magee, monitor for the CCS, said: This project enjoys a prominent position with a good engagement with neighbours and the local community, including local school engagement. Environmental procedures are in accordance with ISO 14001 and care is being taken to ensure achievements are displayed. Information for the workforce is well displayed and covered in toolbox talks. The facilities are well sited and takes advantage of the limited space available. Many thanks to Neil Kocks (Project Leader), Pawel Pruczkowski (Senior Site Manager) and Harrison Burgoine (Assistant Site Manager) for their time and positive assistance.”

Neil Kocks, Walter Lilly’s Project Leader who has led the construction of this project, said: “This achievement came as a result of having a clear and concise ability to set up our site operations outside this congested location on a busy road. That meant that we could concentrate the on site operations where they are required and have the site set up, offices and welfare facilities just outside the working area, which is a rare luxury in these locations.

However, our maximum score, which we are very proud of, came as a result of dedicated staff and teamwork.”
