Located at their Jealott’s Hill International Research Centre in Berkshire, this showcase project comprises the construction of a brand new research centre for global agricultural technology company, Syngenta.

The three-storey, 9,144 m² Biological Sciences Technology and Research centre (BioSTaR) will bring together 300 scientists to deliver the latest advances in biological sciences, molecular and analytical research, and digital innovation to shape the future of sustainable agriculture.

Focused on tackling global challenges around food security, new flexible laboratories, small scale-up and digital facilities will support the discovery of new active ingredients and the development of advanced formulation technologies, whilst also ensuring product safety.

New offices, meeting space, and breakout areas will unite over 300 scientists, universities, research institutes, and industry partners in a shared mission to accelerate innovation and advance our current understanding of plant science.

The project is targeting a BREEAM Excellent rating, reflecting its commitment to high standards of sustainability, environmental performance and operational efficiency.
