Recognising International Diversity Month
Here at Walter Lilly, we recognise October as International Diversity Month.
Last week we kicked things off early by celebrating National Inclusion Week. Inclusion Week is a campaign dedicated to celebrating diversity and promoting action to create more inclusive workplaces. We joined our sister companies within the Renew Holdings plc group and answered the very important question of “What does inclusion mean to you?”
The Covid pandemic showed us that collaboration and inclusion are a priority within our company. As a result of this, Walter Lilly is seeking to promote Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) this month through the launch of our Diversity and Inclusion Behaviour and Practice Review programmes. This will allow us to focus on building an inclusive community from within our organisation, ensuring every individual feels valued and enjoys their place of work, reaching out not only to our staff, clients and subcontractors, but also to our wider connections.
Building a community offers new ways of bringing people together to utilise their collective experience, address priority issues, tackle disadvantage and build a positive and proactive working culture.
