Walter Lilly fully refurbished this four-storey 850 m2 property on Sheffield Terrace, a prestigious address in the heart of Kensington. The residence was originally built by Jeremiah Little in the 1850s, a local builder who lived in the property himself. It occupies a double plot with a garden to the side of the house and out-buildings consisting of a conservatory and garage.
The front and side elevation façades were retained with the existing stucco removed and replaced in its entirety. Internally the general plan of the completed building was not notably different from the original and was rebuilt with new floors, room layouts, windows and roof.
Part of the works included the rebuild of the orangery and adjacent garage, as well as an extension to the garage and substantial landscaping works.
The finished property boasts impeccable bespoke finishes using the finest materials, including a new stone and timber staircase. Mechanical and electrical services were installed throughout the property, as well as a hi-tech audio-visual system.
