2023 HQR Golf Society Day
Walter Lilly remains proud to be founders of the HQR London Charitable Trust and always enjoy playing a part in fundraising events such as the HQR Golf Society Days, co-hosted with BTP Group.
HQRGS’ Annual Flagship Golf Day was in full swing last week! Located at the charming Brocket Hall and well attended by 20 teams of 4, the day was a huge success and provided an excellent opportunity to network with those across the HQR sector, all whilst playing a challenging game of golf in the late September sunshine.
After a quick catch up at breakfast, a 4-ball Stableford competition tee’d off on the Melbourne Course with a 12 pm shotgun start. The golfers were given the opportunity to take part in additional competitions around the course to win cash prizes, which were then kindly donated back to the Trust.
The evening consisted of a meal, drinks, a prizegiving presentation and a short live auction which wrapped up the day.

So far, the day has raised £4,000. Once the total has been finalised, HQR London will transfer the funds to its main beneficiary, The Lighthouse Club – a fantastic construction industry charity whose aim is to ensure no construction worker, or their family feels alone in a crisis.
