Kew Gardens – The Wolfson Wing, Jodrell
This project involved the improvement and extension of the Jodrell Laboratory at Kew Gardens to provide additional laboratory space and to relocate and consolidate several research libraries. The new wing created a three-sided courtyard space. Home to laboratories, library and office space, the building also enjoys a spacious and airy atrium space which provides a breakout area for staff. The atrium also creates a successful transition between this extension and the existing building.
The new building provides an additional 2,200mÇ of accommodation arranged as two storeys over a single basement.
This project was the winner of a RIBA Award and a Civic Trust Award.
