The project involved existing Grade 1 listed building, Parkstead House, which was converted into offices and study areas. Part of the building was demolished to allow the construction of a main entrance block. The existing property stood in extensive grounds made up mainly of protected trees, which had to be maintained during the construction.

Many features of Parkstead House were retained, including decorative ceilings, fireplaces and an existing chapel. A number of important artefacts, such as stained glass windows, were relocated from the existing West Hill Campus to Parkstead House as part of the contract.

A New Academic wing was constructed adjacent to the existing structure and basements extended below various areas to incorporate Lecture theatres and Biomechanics facilities. The upper two floors were mainly laboratories and study areas with student bar and restaurant areas.

Two new separate five-storey blocks were also constructed to accommodate 301 study bedrooms and the project also included a new chapel, all weather pitch, playing fields, hard and soft landscaping, extensive car parking, services and drainage infrastructure.
