Annual Trainee Awards were presented in November 2009 to the trainees who demonstrated the most progress during the year.

Pawel Pruczkowski - Management Trainee, Stuart Dennett - Surveying Trainee & Jaydon Gibbs - Mangement Trainee all scooped an Annual Award.

In addition to day release study, Walter Lilly continues to sponsor a number of students annually through Loughborough University, making a contribution to their course fees and living expenses in addition to offering work placements as part of their course.

This has still proved to be an effective way of encouraging young people into the Company, who also stay and develop their careers long-term.  It's a win-win situation; as of December 2009, Walter Lilly currently have 6 Sponsored Students through Loughborough University and 14 trainees, two of which have been recently promoted.

Walter Lilly continue to invest both time and money into our Training Programmes for Staff.  Year end feedback confirmed 97% of staff were satisfied with the Courses and scored the course content highly.  17% felt more confident to support others - encouragingly, the main bulk of this figure comes from our more junior staff.

Professional Membership

In the past year;

54 Walter Lilly staff now hold CIOB Membership.

 - 12 staff took the DMX route - 4 progressed to become full Members

 - 3 Staff are currently taking the Experienced Practitioner to become full Members by Easter 2010.
